2010 Summer Reading Program DESTINATION JUNGLE

Once again Border Regional Library is running the TD Summer Reading Club, a joint initiative with Library and Archives Canada.

Preschool (4-5): 10:30 to 12 noon.    School-Age(6-11): 1:30 to 3:30 pm

Location

The main branch of Border Regional Library is located at 312-7th Avenue in Virden.  The 4,250 square foot building is wheelchair accessible with power-assisted doors at the main entry. A basement level provides space for children's programming and meetings.

The library first opened its doors to the public in this location in September of 1965.

Community Access Internet

Virden-Wallace CAP Committee offers 10 computers for public use in the Virden branch of Border Regional Library. These computers may be used for one hour per day, with a limit of 1/2 hour between 3:30 and 5:30 pm.

Printing is available at a charge of 25 cents per page for black, and 50 cents per page for colour.

Training in computer skills and Internet use is offered periodically when CAP employees are available. Courses in basic computer literacy are also offered periodically by APPLE (Association of Parents and Professionals for Literacy Education). Inquire at the circulation desk.
